Agreed.

I spent a wild 18 months there in 1990/91. I was supposed to be doing my degree, studied for a term, dropped out but stayed in the city. Too much fun.

It’s easy to do that in Manchester! So many other temptations there. Sounds like you made the most of the city.

I did. It was a great era to be there.

Went to uni there 69-72. It was fun then too.

I love how you alternate the B&W with color photos. Usually I’d see B&Ws as being “gritty” but in this selection, it’s the color photos that have a sense of grit and the B&Ws that appear soft and gentle. Very cool 🙂

Thanks, Marie! Manchester is very picturesque in a gritty way :)

Nice shoots...sorry about moving your camera sideways. Shouldn't've had to have done that! Sigh. Times, we live in.

I go there some times. I feel sorry for Manchester citizens - no ffffffking trees...well, pretty sp-arse-ly planted. Charming people though. 🫂🙏🏻🫂🧘🏻‍♀️🌌

I think anyone with a camera in a residential area is viewed with some suspicion. I was wearing all black so probably looked like I was checking tv licenses 😆

I agree, trees would be a beautiful addition. There are plenty of leafy suburbs flanking the city but not enough greenery in the centre 🌳

Aah...tv licenses...if only the bbc would stop paying miiiilllions to arses like whatshisname woss (who can't woll his Rs, he says., just looks like one..) one wouldn't need to pay for a license...

It's truly shocking ( to me) & sad to see how much the bbc has dumbed down these past few decades. i don't have a tv, immaterial to my life. bbc is in a perpetual flux. Sigh.

I shudder to think Salford & BBC!

Should accept the aftermath of the passage of Time, I suppose - and retain sanity and a reasonable blood pressure.

Thanks for your photos & adventures.

Great set! The murals one is probably my favorite... love the leading lines. That first one too.
