Thanks, Mary! We saw him daily. He would wear a different outlandish suit and walk around the port of Marseille and the streets surrounding the area. Complete dandy dude. He drew a lot of (deserving) attention and he knew it!
A poignant set here, beautiful. Four years ago I framed a set of 16 photo's of a similar concept, for a colleague. Shot on the streets of New York whilst she was there on holiday. We then hung them in a community cafe, and a musicians bar. The first one that sold was to an aide of a UK Labour MP. The image was of a piece of graffiti that read "Fuck Trump". Your shots have taken me back to that delightful day, thankyou. Peace, Maurice
I used to have an art & photo Gallery, We worked with some very talented people. When we closed up, we displayed in bars and cafes all over town, A hard but enjoyable slog. I still have tens of thousands of images, and have finally started a digital record, just last week. The idea is to give them away via Libre Libris on my Substack. It's probably gonna take a century or two !!
A few years ago we invited friends over at New Year. I mentioned an article I'd read about longevity. The authors explained that Humans have no death gene. If it were not for accident, illness and mostly the pull of gravity, we would last four hundred years. The whole room joined in with enthusiasm, and I got nominated....... to open a restaurant, bar and gallery in the capital city on planet Mars, on my four hundredth birthday. Been inviting everyone ever since, you're included. Cheers, Maurice
love them! the 3rd one, with the steps is awesome!!!
Thanks so much :D It was boiling on the day I shot it. There were at least 2,000 steps ... :D
For me, Hip hop hat and forehead wrist are the 2 strongest. Tremendous.
Thanks, Neil! I like the hip-hop hat too :)
I love the image of the gentleman in the patterned suit with the hat and long scarf.

Nice photos! What are the locations?
Thanks so much :) I'm pleased you like them. A mix of locations: Arles, Marseille, Nice and Avignon. All the south of France.

That’s amazing :) what a brilliant project; even if it does take a lifetime or two.

Got it. Thanks.
Beautiful photographs
Thanks George :)
Pampered pooch right there.
The 80s was a decent decade but I have got a soft spot for 90s pop (beside my day time love of indie 🫡).
Welcome to the street photography club
🙂 that means a lot coming from you 👍🏼
Well, it's what I try to do
There’s no try about it, George!
Again a great set of amazing and meaningful images!
